Crown Devon Royal Devon S F Co 543 Blush Tea Set Teapot Stand Sugar Creamer
Made by one of the more prominent Staffordshire makers
of the day, S. Fielding & Co.
Many different lines were made by the company,
but the Royals are quite popular, especially pattern X543;
and came before the Crown line.
This lovely tea set shows a few
beautiful examples of the Vellum Range
for which Crown Devon is famous:
Large and elegant  Royal Crown Devon
produced by S. Fieldings & co. Teapot, Stand,
Creamer and Covered Sugar Bowl
in the X543 pattern, circa 1902.
Vellum range Blush ware with dark pink
and white wild roses and blue forget-me-not
flowers on a cream (with a slight green cast)
ground deepening to
amber at the rims and highlighted with gold.
Condition:
The stand and tea pot have no issues, save for a scratch
inside the pot as noted in photo.
The creamer and sugar bowl have some nicks.
All noted in the photos.
The four pieces have crazing.
Teapot and stand not marked.  The creamer
and sugar are.  Gold is for the most part
intact with some rubbing on the high spots.

with the sophisticated technology that we have today,
therefore there may be glaze pops,
black pin dots, and minor factory flaws.
Excellent Condition, Mint Condition,
or any descriptive term used when describing
the physical attributes of glass and porcelain are very, very subjective.
What I may consider very good condition, someone else may disagree.
Keeping this in mind, I will make
every effort to objectively describe the item at hand.
