I believe this special piece was made (or designed) in 1970 and the color was called AMETHYST

In natural light - this piece has shades of lavender - orchid - pale amethyst
In fluorescent light - color changes magically to light sky blue
This Rare Paperweight was Designed by Artist Designer COLIN TERRIS (1937-2007).  He was an incredibly talented prolific artist whose amazingly unique inspired creations are loved and collected by museums and collectors all over the world.
This beauty is a superb example of his extremely beautiful work.  Moonflower was the First in the Abstract Design Category by Colin Terris for Caithness.  It was inspired by Terris to resemble an abstract extraterrestrial floriform.  It has a sublime peaceful presence.
